Vanilla pompona

This large climbing orchid from central and South America is a source of vanilla flavoring. It has succulent leaves and stems and grows up trees or walls with thick aerial roots that adhere to surfaces. It does best in bright but shaded locations and requires watering to become established. It needs good drainage. (Pot size: 3 gallon)

Zones 10 and above recommended for growing outdoors.
