Anthurium faustomirandae

Anthurium faustomirandae

Anthurium faustomirandae is endemic to the state of Chiapas in Mexico where it grows at elevations of 2,000 to 3,000 feet. Sometimes known as 'Giant Anthurium', this species has amazing, large heart-shaped leaves which may grow to 4 feet long and about 2 feet wide. New leaf growth emerges with a red coloration and glossy. As the leaf blade matures and thickens, the gloss is lost and the surface becomes matte green, leathery and quite stiff. Anthurium faustomirandae has proven to be easy to grow in bright shade or morning sun and well-draining soil. A wonderful Anthurium for South Florida. (Pot size: 3 gallon)
